Biography

Like so many times before this story starts off with a few beers... When Jimmy Persson quit Soilwork, it was not because music wasn't a part of him anymore rather than he wanted to do something else. He met Martin Langen out at the pub and the ideas started to boil.

Not long after that the recruiting started and with John, John, Jesper (yes, four names that began with J) and Erik. This resulted in the foundation for what that today is Faithful Darkness. With musical inspiration from all that the metalworld had to over, to agree was (and is) always a hard decision, but every decision made contributing to creative compromises.

And soon began the epic (Rhapsody of Fire) quest of conquering Sweden with gigs around the country. Not long after that, inspired by everything from Europe to Dimmu Borgir and Marduk their debut album entitled "In Shadows Lies Utopia" was released in 2008. Strongly followed with support gigs to Soilwork, Evergrey, Raised Fist and Sonic Syndicate.

After some lineup changes and internal turbulence Faithful Darkness stood strong once again with Jocke Strandberg on drums and Kåre Timmerman on bass ready to release the second album "Black Mirror's Reflection" in 2012. The release was followed by a smaller European tour throughout Germany, Italy, Austria, UK and Denmark.

In 2013 "The Second Reflection EP", a sequel to "Black Mirror's Reflection" album, has been released.

In June 2013 Jimmy decided to leave the band due to motivational differences within the band. Not long after that Mr. Jonathan Thorpenberg join forces with Faithful Darkness, this guitar playing wonder child. The band is stronger than ever and now is in the studio to release their third album via Coroner Records.
